Tern supports over 100 countries and regions. Tern is designed to be highly compatible to all 3G and 4G networks. The complete list will be available at the Tern APP.

How to order a data plan? How long will my purchased data plan remain valid?

Tern offers all kinds of data plan from 1-day to 1-month period. You can simply pick a plan that suits you the most in the Tern APP and pay through credit card or Paypal, no subscription fee needed. You can purchase in advance as the plan only starts when you activate it using Tern APP. Data plans usually have standby period between 3-months to 12-months.

What’s the price for data plans?

The data plans available to Tern are priced by their network providers and can be subjected to adjustments without prior notice. Reference price is available at campaign layout. The price should be lower than comparable SIM cards available at destination, and significantly lower than the roaming fee charged by your local carrier.

The data plans at Tern APP are always in stock so you can always choose the one that suits you the most.

How do I use a Tern data plan?

Once a data plan is activated on Tern, you can connect your mobile device to Tern with Wi-Fi and access the internet. For voice calling and SMS, you can use them within the Tern APP instead of the built-in locations on your phone.

Tern offers a large variety of data plans. At popular countries, unlimited data plan can be ordered. For other plans, you can monitor your current data usage to calculate how much data you will need with Tern.

How long can Tern standby and operate?

Tern can standby for over 300 hours or connect to your device with Wi-Fi for 10 hours, although the duration may be affected by heavy usage.

How many mobile devices can I pair with Tern?

Tern is required to link up with a designated device in order to purchase and activate Tern plans. In addition to this device, Tern can provide data access to up to 5 Wi-Fi devices.

How to manage the devices I want to connect to Tern?

On Tern APP, you can manage all connected devices and modify their access to activated plan on Tern. To link up a new device, simply enter Wi-Fi setting on that device and choose Tern as the point to connect.

How do I change the Wi-Fi name and password on Tern?

You can change Wi-Fi settings inside Tern APP under “Setting” section. Creating a secure password will project your device from security risk and unauthorized data access.

How far away can my Tern link up with my mobile device?

The Wi-Fi connection of Tern can link up to 10 meters away, although the range will be negatively affected by obstacles and walls. You are advised to keep Tern as close to your device as possible, as battery usage on both devices will increase proportionally with distance between.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
