Dear Tern supporters,
Thank you for everything over the past 45 days! Without you, Tern wouldn't have been funded with all the extra features reached through stretch goals.
Over the campaign, we have raised nearly 10 times the original goal from over 1,300 backers. That is nearly HK$ 1,300,000 for the development and production! The great popularity would also help us to acquire a greater variety of mobile plans from telecom partners.
What's next for Tern?
We are as excited as you are for the success! But there is no time for celebration, it is time for us to get into work so Tern will be shipped on schedule.
Tern is already in the prototype stage. But after stretch goals have been added, some redesign to the hardware will be required. The APP is also needed adjustments to be compatible with the latest build. Once the new prototype is completed, we will commence internal testing and eventually, certification by independent testing institutes. We will make Tern reliable, so you can stay connected everywhere.
At the same time, our team is finalizing deals with network providers for more supported countries, as well as more choices within existing countries. All progress will be posted as updates on the campaign.

Thank you so much for helping us reach US$150,000! In addition to the USB Type-C upgrade that has been reached, now Tern will also come with a larger battery, boosting its operational time to 12 hours!
Please keep spreading the word about Tern to reach the next stretch goal at US$170,000! Next stretch goal unlocks an additional SIM card slot to Tern, adding some extra flexibility to the product. Dear all backers,
Thank you for participating in our survey for the next stretch-goal. We are thrilled to learn that nearly half of all backers have voted - that is 500 votes!
The result shows "More Choice - Adding an additional SIM slot" lead by having 46% vote! Therefore we will set this goal ahead. A SIM card slot for physical SIM will be added when we reach US$170,000 funded. The goal for Wi-Fi upgrade will be announced when we have unlocked Stretch goal #3.

Hi Tern supporters,
Thank you for supporting us! Tern has now over 1000 backers and the project is funded over 6 times. You guys are awesome!
Your involvement and feedback helps us to create better products. Now, we would like to invite you to choose the next stretch goal! We have 3 suggestions for the upcoming goal, but if you have other ideas in mind, please feel free to write it down as well! We appreciate any input.
We have planned the following stretch goals:
- Upgrade hardware to Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11ac standard to increase transfer speed.
- Add a SIM card slot, so you can use your own SIM cards with Tern.
- Add a LCD display for Tern, so it can act as hotspot without requiring a mobile device to do setting.

Thank you so much for helping us reach US$100K. We could not do this without the love and support from great backers like you ! Now all Tern will come upgraded to USB Type-C, which is the new standard for many mobile phone and digital devices. It boosts both convenience and durability over micro-USB.
We have heard some backers requesting a larger battery life and we are glad to announce the next stretch goal – Extra Battery for Tern! By increasing the internal battery capacity of Tern .If our campaign hits US$ 150K, we will upgrade every Tern battery from 10 to 12 hours .This will give the Tern up to 12 hours of constant usage !
